Planetary reducer is a reduction transmission equipment: the accuracy of planetary gears depends on the cooperation between gears. The gap refers to return clearance between the gears. It’s also known as backlash. The lower value of the return clearance (or backlash, clearance) of the planetary reducer , the higher transmission accuracy, the higher price, and the higher transmission efficiency.

Return clearance: Fix the input end so that the output end rotates clockwise and counterclockwise. When the output end bears the rated torque, the output end of the reducer has a slight angular displacement. This angular displacement is the return clearance, also called "backlash".

Planetary reducer, as the name implies, rotate around the star. It is reducer that three planetary wheels rotate around a sun gear. The main structure is composed of sun gear, planetary gear, inner gear ring, transmission shaft and transmission motor.

Number of stages: the number of planetary gears. Since one set planetary gear cannot meet the larger transmission ratio, sometimes it need two or three sets of planetary gears to meet larger transmission ratios requirement of users. Due to the increased number of planetary gears, the length of the two- or three-machine reduction stage will increase while the efficiency will decrease. Compared with gear reducers, DC reducers, and worm gear reducers, planetary reducers have higher transmission accuracy, efficiency, and longer life. They are widely used in various industries.
