Sometimes the shaft fracture happens during the reducer working. So, what should users do if the shaft of the planetary reducer fracture?

1. Be prepared before welding.
Before designing the welding groove, the cracks should be treated and smoothed. At the same time, in order to reduce the welding stress, various measures should be taken when designing the welding groove. First, we should design a U-shaped groove according to the fracture of the shaft and the diameter. The bevel is 20 mm wide and 37 mm deep. After flattening the fracture, the groove should be machined with a forming tool, and make all parts of the groove round. This reduces the proportion of cheap metal melted into the weld metal to prevent cracks again in future.
2. The cleaning work before welding.
Before the welding, the oblique angle of the parts to be welded on the oblique axis should be removed, and the rust, oil, moisture and other impurities on the surface of blunt side should be removed too. First, to bake it with flame, and then use gauze to dry.
3. Welding
Now use positioning blocks on groove to prevent deformation, and then fix the positioning points on both sides of the positioning block. Operator should reduce the cooling speed of the entire weld zone in order to prevent cracks, and observe each solder layer should be carefully. The welding should be carried out evenly with the rotation of the shaft. If there are defects such as holes, slag inclusions and cracks, operators should re-work.
